Process

Foster Architecture has a hands on approach to restoration and preservation. The focus is on the use of an integrated design process to meet the needs of every unique project and client. For historic fabric investigations, programmatic assessments, or façade evaluations, the details are used to inform and build the design. Our approach to historic preservation is to work with the client to meet the modern needs and efficiency’s of the built environment while being faithful to the original architect’s design intent. Restoring the historic fabric and resources while integrating modern systems and programs provides a historic resource that is made for the future. Creating excellent client relations, having the ability to reach consensus, providing prompt attention to issues that arise in projects, and appreciating the significance which preservation has in creating a better world for future generations.
